Im running a dial up connection, so its slow anyway.
But a nice site for those running broadband -------------------- "People die of disease and accident. Death comes suddenly and there is no notion of good or bad. It leaves, not a dramatic feeling but great emptiness. When you lose someone you loved very much you feel this big empty space and think, 'If I had known this was coming I would have done things differently.' These are the feelings I wanted to arouse in the players with Aerith's death relatively early in the game. Feelings of reality and not Hollywood." - Yoshinori Kitase |

Okay so I checked the Interenet Traffic Report because my dial up has been beyond unbearable
And it pretty much showed me why Im currently connected at 21.6Kbps And before when my connection cut out I was at 4Kbps and had to reconnect Argh I want cable -------------------- "People die of disease and accident. a trick i found out how to get your internet faster is to go to regedit
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER from there go to software and then go to microsoft then go to windows and then current version and then internet explorer yeah its alot of places you have to go but very worth it in the long run so now you will see reg_sz's DWORDS and BINARIES every DWORD on the list is usually set to 0 for a value. right click on all the DWORDS and click modify then change the system from hexidecimal to decimal and change the value to 10 or at least something higher than 1 or 0. me personaly i have to check back at regedit every now and then because the values go back to 1 or 0 so i keep having to replace the values but it makes internet lightning fast. i understand that its slow because of a 56k dial up but you should get some much needed speed to your internet... (this is assuming you use internet explorer.) |

I believe the tweak you are refering to increases the number of connections IE can handle an one time, While this is good, People should excersise caution when entering the registry as it can lead to problems if you don't know what you are doing. Could you provide a link to the site where you obtained this information as it should be verified. -------------------- Regards
