Hi,

I'm writing from another computer than the one affected because it won't connect to the internet.

I was going online when the Microsoft update page came up - I believe it was IE 7 Service Pack 2. Figured I'd do it to keep my computer up to date and safe.

However, I noticed it created additional shortcuts for IE and when I do click on IE to connect, the desktop just flickers and remains the same. I can't get to the web.....

and I'm Freaking out!! Any ideas?

Thank you so much for your expertise : )

Nancy

I just realized I could uninstall IE7, so that's what I did and I'm back online.
