I am recieving an error message every time I shut down computer and it sometimes seems to make my computer hang up.. message is msgsrv32 general protection fault in module setupxdll at 003:000080c6..........any ideas on how to fix it

Questions.
What operating system are you using? (Win98 WinME?)
have you installed any new software recently?
have you installed any new hardware and/or drivers recently?

Do a web search for msgsrv32 general protection fault in module setupx.dll

and have a look here also...

Also, get a registry checker to look through the registry, may be a corrupt entry.

Finally, if its WinME, dump it, upgrade to WinXP
