Cannot Get Word To Open In A Specific Folder

This is a Strange one !!!

On my computer. I have many folders inside other folders .

My problem is that one of my folders that is inside another folder has a list of word documents in it - which will not open BUT when I move the folder with the word documents in it onto the desktop the word documents will then open.

All of my other word documents will open.

Maybe there is a simple trick to this ?

Hi SCOBAHCAN,

This might not work... but then again it might... :flowers: :thumbsup:

In the folder within the folders (with the word documents in), could you do the following:

1. Right click on one of the word documents
2. Hover over Open With
3. From the bottom of the drop down list select Choose Program...
4. In the window which appears, choose Microsoft Office Word (whichever one your one is).
5. Check the box Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
6. Press OK then try again... does it work now?
