I am having a problem with my Canon Ixus's software. I can manage to get my photos from the camera onto the program I downloaded via cd which came with the camera, but when I wanted to put the photos onto a cd, a message came up that it couldn't find the cd'dvd drives. I have a cd drive that came with my desk top which is now five years old, and a new dvd drive which I had put in late last year. Both are working properly, and I have used them on several occasions. Why can the software not find the drives? Also how can I rectify this please?

As you may have gathered I am ok with the very basics of working with the computer, but am completely flummoxed after that!

Just to be sure go to Device Manager and look for any yellow exclamation points by the drives. You could try redownloading the software

Whoops, the the European sit. Anyways , if all you want to do is burn pics. to CD why not just use the program that comes with XP?
