Hi Paulrenno,
Do NOT remove from Add/Remove programs as it will not uninstall properly. Make sure you have Administrative rights. You may have to confirm through UAC. Go to Start, Programs and then Zonealarm. Find the entry for "Uninstall" and RIGHT CLICK it. Select Properties. In the path go to the end of the line and add this: /clean (make sure there is a space between the last character and /clean) For example you might have: C:\Program Files\ZoneAlarm\Uninstall.exe Change it to this: C:\Program Files\ZoneAlarm\Uninstall.exe /clean If you want to remove your license information as well then use this switch: C:\Program Files\ZoneAlarm\Uninstall.exe /clean /rmlicense Note that the line may not show exactly, but it will be similar. Now Click, Apply and OK. Finally, Go to Start, Programs, Zonealarm and select the uninstall option to completely remove Zonealarm. **Important** REBOOT the System. Delete the following Folders if they still exist: C:\Program Files\Zonalarm (folder) C:\Windows\Zonealarm (Folder) C:\Windows\Internet Logs (folder) Empty your recycle bin. That's it! |
