Since I'm clueless, instead of giving permission to run, I just hit cancel. Don't know what it is. The only thing that I tried to add was a Free Defender. The Computer is a brand new Dell Inspirion 1720 with Vista. I don't like the "Trend Micro PC-cillin and came here looking for free Anti-virus software since I only have them for one month and it's a stupid program. If I kill too much time here, may just go buy McAfee at Costco for around $32 (Trend offered one year for $69-eh). Help |

Go ahead and let the system configuration utility run. This "Configuration Utility" is the same thing as MSCONFIG. Someone probably changed some startup items on the PC and now it just wants to bring it up. Next time you boot your pc, let it run the program, close it after it opens and see if it goes away.
Remember that in XP after you reboot from using the MSCONFIG utility, it would have that box that says "Do not open up system configuration utility on startup". Well this is basically the same thing. |
