Yes, there is only one download site.
Hmmm, I hadn't recalled that being the case.

Ronbo's suggestion certainly DOUBLES the opportunities.

Do we have a third? smile.gif

thanks guys, thats great.
could i ask you to just curb my paranioa a tad?
i`m downloading things that have
a megabite or two more than
it has written in downloads.com or majorgeeks
i`ve read this means other things could be
bundled in with the origianl software,
so we should be a bit cautious.
what do you guys think?

You are correct to worry about downloads, since these account for almost all viruses and spyware on computers. IN THIS CASE,since Lavasoft lists these sites, you should be completely safe in using them. The difference in size may be caused by the site not changing the download size to reflect Lavasoft's additional enhancements or the additional requirements of new definitions.
Regards,
John

No I don't think you are being paranoid, in these times you have to be very careful about what you install on your computer. I am extremely careful when I download anything too. I always, whether I have downloaded from a site before or not, check my downloads with my anti virus software before I install them.

As far as Major Geeks goes, I have been using them for years and have never gotten anything other than the programs I downloaded from them. They are one of the good ones.

I still check the download with my AV before installing it though, I may trust Major Geeks but that don't mean I ain't going to play it safe.

I don't know if this is against the TOS or not, but I have a direct link to the download page for both Spybot 1.3 and Ad-aware on my site. It's under the Free Software section and click on Spyware/Adware Removal Software. I hope this helps... Go to my website by clicking on Free Software in my sig...

I would agree with ronbo and say that you can never be too paranoid when it comes to ad-ware and safety

I would go with:
Lova Soft USA
