Hi everyone, hope someone can help me. I have a lexmark z82 printer/scanner/copier. I don't have the cd that came with it. I did go to the lexmark website and downloaded the driver. But it needs the Smarthru2 software to scan. Which came with the installation cd. I contacted lexmark and was told that my printer is outdated and that i could not buy a installation disk and that I can't get the smarthr2 software. Does anyone know how to get that software, all I know is that samsung puts it out, and i can't find it on their webpage. Any help would be appreciated.

I just reread what you wrote and need to correct something...Lexmark or any other scanner does not need to use the software which comes with those devices.

Any valid image-editing program will detect and use that scanner (e.g., I use Ulead PhotoImpact to edit graphics images of all types, some use Adobe software, etc.).

That software is provided as a convenience for users who may not know what I have stated above or who do not anticipate using such.
