I have and LG GSA-E60N/L Super Multi Drive is USB 2.0 powered and writes to DVD±R discs at 20x speed. Also supports DVD-ROM (Single/Dual), DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD+R Double Layer, DVD-R Dual Layer, DVD-RAM, CD-Digital Audio & CD-Extra, CD-Plus, CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA-Ready, CD-I FMV, CD-TEXT, CD-Bridge, CD-R, CD-RW, Photo-CD (Single & Multi-Session), Video-CD, DVD-Video.
I have 3 different discs that I am working with: Memorex DVD-RW 2x, Verbatim DVD+R 8x (Lightscribe), and Sony DVD+R Ver 1.3/1x-16x. The Memorex work fine. The Verbatim and the Sony are giving me problems. When I insert either the Sony or the Verbatim then I click to open the disc I get a message that there is no disc in the drive but, I can put a DVD movie in my internal DVD drive and using DVD fab I can burn the movie to either disc. I have also tried saving Word and Excel documents to either of the two disc and it tells me to insert a disc into the drive. I had the same problem with another external DVD burner. Can some one please help me.
