When right clicking on the eject icon in system tray then clicking unplug or eject hardware Windows returns an error while working with the Control Panel file C:\WINNT\System32\hotplug.dll

Nah it's on an IBM ThinkPad however the DVD drive I was ejecting coincidently has Dell firmware??? I've had the suggestion to repair the Windows installation which has gone seamlessly & repaired whatever is wrong.
