I'm giving my father an old Dell Laptop of mine.. I need to wipe it clean except for the OS. And I don't have a re-install disk. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

In the All Other Applications forum HERE, under freeware replacement programs, there is a free program called "Eraser" that will wipe clean folders. Move everything into a folder that you want to get rid of and then "Erase" it... I think that would work... blink.gif

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.

Remove everything there, except the computers drivers, the drivers usualy say "Driver" at the end of them, but not all do so be careful.

Then goto My Computer -> Local Disk (C: ) -> Program Files -> Delete all folders (If not already, make sure you leave the driver files intact).
