Okay, so I got a new used computer, well just the case and mobo.
I reinstalled a clean Windows XP HE, and i updated everything.
A couple days ago, my brother was playing COD4, and everything was working.
But only a couple hours later, whenever any game is double clicked, there's a splash-screen for a split second, then the screen flickers about 2-50 times, and it crashed to the desktop.
I've looked around and other people just needed to update their drivers for their graphics cards, but mine is updated to the most recent driver.
Is something wrong with my computer?

AMD Athlon XP 1800+
1.5 GHz 1.25G Ram, 500W PSU, 2600HD Pro AGP.
What gives?

Onboard video chip or actual video card?

How much memory for whatever?

Does flickering occur during any other activity?

Call of Duty 4?
Have you downloaded and installed all patches for the game yet?

I haven't downloaded the latest patches for Call Of Duty 4, but even CS: Source won't start up.
And I downloaded latest patch for that game.
Flickering doesn't happen for any other program or whatever I'm doing.
Just lots of flickering when starting up games, then crash to desktop.
