Can anyone give me some good recommendations for Voice Recognition - Print to Speech and Speech to print software? The stuff that Microsoft provides is king of crude. Plus I can never get the "Speech to Print" to ever work. The actual problem with Microsoft's Voice to Print software is that every time I've tried to open it I always get that it wont open because it is being used somewhere else. Of course I have no idea where else it is being used or could be? I did get it to work once a long time ago but not sense and that's even after many a total re-installs of the OS. So, I'm hoping that a different program all together will solve this problem. Any advise will be appreciated, like if a certain sound card and/or microphone is best for this, etc. Actually, I do need a better mic than what I am using, so any recommendation for that would also be greatly appreciated. Plus, I really want something that sounds better than Microsoft's "Print to Voice". Any advice? Thanks John -------------------- "Genius is nothing other than pointing out the obvious",

I use and have used a program for a number of years.
It is not freeware. Cost about $100 USD now. It has given me the best results over the MS program. [Dragon NaturallySpeaking from www.nuance.com] Since it is a commercial program, I will not directly link you to such. Nor do I have any association with the company. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_NaturallySpeaking |

Thanks for the advice, I've heard of that one but didn't remember it till you mentioned it here. I'll look into that program.
Only, can you or anyone recommend a good PC mic to use for this? Thanks. John -------------------- "Genius is nothing other than pointing out the obvious",
