Looks like you need a driver or firmware upgrade. Check out who manufactured the drive and go to their site for the latest firmware, etc. Hopefully, that will do the trick.
Sometimes, you can click on Update Driver and it will find it, if it is a well-known model. Good luck. DR -------------------- |

If it is a recent laptop, you should try their support. Yes, try Gateway first. They may recognize this symptom right away.
Otherwise, you would have to remove the drive to check the manufacturers label. DR -------------------- |
