This is my first post, so forgive me if this is the wrong place or if I seem to be rambling. Just want to make sure I get all the information to you on first try! I have browsed several forums here hoping to find my answer, but didn't have any luck.

I have a ps2 keyboard that I really want to use with my Compaq Presario S5000CL (running Windows XP). It is HP model SK-2506. When the computer starts to boot up, the keyboard will let me key in my password which is alpha/numeric but after everything starts, the keyboard completely stops functioning. The number lock light is on so I know it's getting power. The Presario came with just a standard, simple keyboard and it works just fine. I've also tried another Compaq keyboard that seems to be working OK as well.

I've checked the device manager and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. It shows properties and drivers for Compaq PS2 Keyboard (2K-3) which I'm assuming is the one that came with the Presario.

I'm guessing the SK-2506 may need drivers since it has so many functions available but the HP website has absolutely nothing available for this model..... I did a google search and found several websites offering drivers, but how do I know which one is the best or which one I can trust?

Please advise!
