Welcome to BC!

What software did you download?
No one can help unless you provide more info!

It would really help if you clarified the problem

My bet is viruses and spyware

johnjim15: As you posted in the W95\98\ME forum, I'm assuming that your PC has one of those operating systems installed.

The function NtShutdownSystem is used in Windows NT\2000\XP\2003 to shutdown a computer. It sounds like the software you've downloaded doesn't support 98\ME. :?

Your chances of getting the software to work for you on 98\ME are more or less zero I'm afraid (unless someone else knows a way round this?)
