One of the areas that I have little or no experience in is networking, and in one of my classes we had a lab where we connected two computers with a crossover cable and set up the peer to peer network manually. To further complicate my lack of experience here the instructor further confused the issue by realizing that he was going to have to change the guest option which he did at my computer and did it so fast that I have no idea how he did it. This situation only get better, I now can't find the notebook with my notes for this lab. Can someone here walk me through the steps to manually set up the peer to peer network? The two computers are connected with a crossover cable.

I did try googling for this information, but every thing I found said that I would have to use the internet wizard at least once.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have to write a lab repost on this and only need the basic steps to set up the connection manually.
