Hi,

I can not paste from my note book as I copy text then go to paste as in BC File Data Base Search.

I have experienced this before, but never knew how or why it occurs ?

Will appreciate your solution.

Jove

If you are using firefox. Try update. Latest version 2.0.0.9 is fine.
Used to have that problem some months ago and updating made it go away.

Have fun then and careful with those.
Just because it's m$ doesn't mean it's safe at all.
You probably know what I mean.

I have a pretty good idea of what you mean, I dread it !
But H_ _ _ ! , even using virus and maware scans, you can run in to lots of fun when you have a temp. that is effecting the registry and your scan makes a change I guess, today I was doing that when SpyBot warned me of this, I have it posted in a thread in Malware etc.

LOL
Sorry that's not funny.

Please get rid of Internet explorer. I promise you will not regret it, in fact I bet you are gonna love firefox.
Not saying IE has anything to do with your spybot scan, but with firefox, you won't need spybot.
Well you might get hired one day as a spyware consultent who know.

LOL (sorry)

Yeah, I had Firefox for a short while during the time I had AOL, and I liked it, . .but I was having problems and AOL had all my mail, so I had to clean up a little, and at the time I wasn't sure where the problems were coming from.

So, maybe I'll get again soon, whats the story with Windows Explorer and MSN Explorer and that kind of stuff, can they be un-installedf or what ?

You mean Internet explorer.
Yes you can open
add/remove programs
There is a banner that says
add/remove windows components

It's not imperative you do so.
You can just leave it and go find yourself another mail client and browser.

There will probably also be something left from the uninstall. Somewhere inside the windows directory or in the directory Program files. Don't delete anything in your windows dir, but you can delete your outlook folder.

Also you would want to transfer your IE settings to Firefox.

Oh yeah, well Windows Internet Explorer.

Well, if its just as easy to get IE back, (install), that will be ok, but if your saying that my Outlook Express will no longer be available I think I'll leave it as is, I like Outlook Express, it is something that is more personal, and I trust it.
rather that have my personal mail or business mail hanging out there on the Internet somewhere. I do use others, AOL, Yahoo, but mainly for impersonal contacts, etc. , but I am sure I want to keep OE, for now.

That's probably a good idea.
You can sign up for yahoo, google mail completely incognito, but your mails will be on some server. I can understand, that's not ideal.

IE should reinstall fine, but like I said, you can safely leave it. Firefox and IE runs fine together. You can have both browsers open at the same time.

You might want to try Mozilla's E-mail client, Thunderbird. Like Firefox, it is inherently safer than the comparable Microsoft product, and both are updated and improved on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, many websites are not standard-compliant, and will work only with IE, and IE is a part of the Windows OS (not sure about Vista) so completely uninstalling IE will prevent Windows from operating properly.

John
