Hy! i have this problem that i have 2 ram of 512 and it combine to make 1 gb but when i open my computer properties it show 512 mb ram. i have checked the ram it is correctly installed. can sombody tell me whats going on?

need to know if this is a name brand system or custom built. if custome built the motherboard make and model number. if name brand, exact model number, and if dell, service tag. make and model of both sticks of ram.

Did you always have 2 sticks of memory and you just noticed the problem or did you just add another 512 stick?

Could it be from the graphics sharing system memory? That seems like a lot of system ram to share with a graphics card though.
