He just bought a Laptop with a SATA HD. During the OS (Windows XP Pro - SP2) installation he has been requested to press the F6 button in order to install the SATA Drivers. When pressing on F6 he received the notification "A drive not found". His laptop has no A drive (Floppy disk). He has the relevant drivers available on a USB flash disk. How to make the system "accepting" the USB disk in lieu of drive A? thanks |

I've never done this myself, but I've read you can get around this problem by slip-streaming a copy of XP with the SATA drivers included.

Being lazy, I just went out and bought a USB floppy drive - most computers will allow this to be used as the A: drive when booting.
