I had McAfee on my work computer, but I thought I uninstalled it. After uninstalling it from Add/Remove Programs, I went into the registry and deleted what I found there that was McAfee. Guess that's where I screwed up. Now everytime I start my computer I get error messages because McAfee is trying to start up and can't find its files. Nothing else happens, but the pop-up windows when I start up are annoying and make me feel like an idiot. Can't wait til the boss sees them!

I did get a message the other day that McAfee wanted to update itself. I just clicked that off and it went away. Someone told me that there is a "run once" program in the registry that I need to find to make McAfee stop trying to start itself when my computer starts.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
