The extension in question is called LinkAlert. All it does is add a little icon next to your mouse pointer whenever you mouse over a link in FF. The icon represents what type of link it is. For example, it shows a little PDF icon when the link leads to a PDF, a little javascript icon if the link is calling javascript, another icon if the link will open a new window, and a couple of others. Here's what the icons look like: ![]() The latest version also supports:

Almost makes me wish I used FF instead of IE. Almost, but not quite. Now, if someone would just develop a little utility for IE that does the same thing....

theres also another addon called CoolIris preview which lets you basically preview the link in a type of window thing. really useful I used to have CoolIris. I got rid of it because I didn't really see a need in it...it's easier just to middle click the link and open it in a new tab rather than wasting your time opening this small box. |

Heheheh, tg1911.... I have a special wish list called, "Not in my lifetime, but I can dream, can't I?" You have one of those lists, too? I thought, I was the only one. Well, actually, after fifty years, it's more of a book, than a list. -------------------- I love being married.

Good luck, waiting on that one, Dialer. http://www.snap.com/about/addon.php Well, OK, it's not as elegant as the one for FF that Amazing Andrew posted, but it exists! I doubt I'll download it, though. As for the wish list, tg1911, I'll see your book and raise you a six-volume encyclopedia. -------------------- |
