It sounds to me like the question you really want answered is how to learn web programming.
In short, you may use html 4.01, CSS, Javascript, and Visual Basic to create a web site. This all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. And using an HTML editor or other WYSIWYG editor will not necessarily "Teach" you how the web works. What I've found recently is that one must understand the basics to take full advantage of the web programming languages. If you're thinking about using javascript and visual basic, then you prolly have some specific needs in mind. I would check out w3.org and w3schools for beginning information. HTML Goodies is a site that has become popular as a reference, but I feel that site promotes too many bad habits when writing for the web. This book I'm reading is great though; SAMS Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML and CSS. I'm using this as my launching point. This post has been edited by RandomUser: Dec 25 2007, 12:00 PM |
