BleepingComputer.com: Email Check Programs?

I have been using MailWasher Pro for a long time as a free version. I didn't set it up myself, so really don't understand its functions. It has been taking an extremely long time to appear at start up the past few days. So.....I don't know where to go with this problem.

Is anyone here familiar with MailWasher? Is it the kind of program all computer users abide by, or is there something better out there that will help keep my system safe?

Possibly a conflict with other programs. I use AVG anti-virus and it has a email scanner. Some anti-spyware programs do to. You could always uninstall and reinstall. When setting it up see if there's an option to start when you open your email program instead of startup

Their FAQ's are kind of helpful and they say the free version has access to their forums, but just glancing around I couldn't find the forum page
