with a DLink DI-524 would it be bad to configure an applications port both in the virtual server and applications sections? <---- as in would the two options conflict with each other?

the problem is that no matter what I do the port is blocked anyways....

ps: sygate is set on allow. and I have restarted the computer.

I am now also getting a ton of messages from sygate asking for permission to allow a substantial number of ICMP Type 11 packets....

Any ideas?
