if a word of caution were needed? just to demonstrate the 'risks' involved and the importance of the 'victim' following EXACTLY the helper's instructions and 'responsibilities' OF cleaning computers and the HJT training;

I have been following a thread elsewhere ( which I will not link to out of courtesy to that site ) where , for some reason known I presume only to the victim, said victim has failed to follow TO THE EXACT LETTER the instructions given them to try to 'clean up'; the victim seems to have made their own choice as to how to proceed with a specific step

the 'result'? Windows may have to be reinstalled.....

working out and giving a set of instructions is only half the battle...getting the 'victim' to follow then precisely?? ..THAT is another story wacko.gif

?frightened/concerned? not a bad thing really as it means you will approach the task with the seriousness and dedication it deserves thumbup2.gif

That's true Ruby1, there can never be enough emphasis put on the fact that the fixes that we ask the "victims" to run can be both extremely dangerous used without trained guidance, and that most of the software can also cause you to have to reinstall your operating system if not used correctly.
