Ie 7 Randomly Closing Tried Fresh Install - What Now?

In the past two to three weeks Internet Explorer 7 has started randomly closing every now and again and is coming up with the error message has encountered a problem and needs to close message. I have tried resetting IE, doing all updates and virus/malware/adware scans I can think of (found nothing) and also reinstalling IE 7. Although more irritating than serious I would like it fixed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone. Like Ms. Clegg, I'm having the same error when using IE7. My PC operates on Windows XP Home Ed. I notice the error (IE has encountered a problem and needs to close message) occurs when I've opened a webpage in a new window, get the info I need, then close the window. At this point the error occurs, I click "Send Error Report" and IE7 closes all open webpages. It is annoying and wastes alot of time starting over. Can anyone tell me what causes this and what should be done to correct the problem. Thanks for your help in advance.
