Are you referring to Firefox Bookmarks?

Firefox itself regularly backs up five day's Bookmarks to the \bookmarkbackups folder under your profile so within that time frame you can restore to an earlier version. To restore, use File/Import under the Bookmarks Manager, select "From File", and then point it to the backup file in that folder.
Cheers,
John

Which version of Ff are you using?
Mine is 2.0.0.9 and the path is: Bookmarks/Organise Bookmarks/File/ Import, and the option screen I have gives the following choices:

IE
Mozilla or Ff
From file.
