Converting Videos In Laptop

i usually converting and ripping DVD, audio files using my desktop, recently i bought my first laptop, it's specs is much higher than my desktop, so for sure it will convert faster, i just want to ask if it's ok to do the conversion in the laptop?
i mean is it harmful? you know converting files to DVD really takes time, so im just worried. thanks

I don't see where it would cause any harm.
You might want to leave it plugged in, though, so a dieing battery won't interrupt the conversion, causing corruption.

you mean, what im doing in my desktop, still can do it on my laptop? without worries? i just thought that running some large program or converting in a long hours would be better if you will do it in desktop, thinkin that laprtop can't hande it!

You should be able to do anything with a laptop, that you can do with your desktop.
Like I mentioned though, I would leave the laptop plugged in, during the conversion process.
The only risk I see, is getting the uncontrollable urge, to through the laptop against the wall, if after waiting 4 hours for the conversion, the battery dies with 5 minutes to go, corrupting the conversion.
That wouldn't be a good thing, so I'd leave it plugged in, just in case. :thumbsup:
