For everyone who gets those headaches trying to read up on why games freeze with Compiz-fusion/Beryl. Or why they dont have a title bar after turning glx back on afterwards. Heres my "Quick and dirty" solution.

For disabling Compiz-fusion, etc:
1) Right click the desktop and select "Create New Launcher"
2) In the Command section input this
metacity --replace

3) Name it Pre-Game (or whatever you want) and click OK

For Enabling Compiz-fusion, etc and emerald:
1) Right click the desktop and select "Create New Launcher"
2)In the Command section input one of these:
For Beryl
 beryl --replace emerald

For Compiz-Fusion
 compiz --replace emerald

3)Name it Post-Game (or whatever you want) and click Ok

It's quick, dirty, and doesnt require a script 15 lines long to accomplish something so simple.

Know a better way, please share.
Know the KDE way, please share.

good stuff! Now if they would just port Sword of the new world, and tiger woods 2007 to wine, I would never have to switch into windows again.
If someone tells you to su rm -rf /
DON'T DO IT!!!!
Be in the know, Bash smart!
