I saw how to suggest a new entry in the startup database, but not the file database. So I'll ask here, as well as mention the addition I have:

The file I have is called "run.exe". I was researching this file because I have it on my computer. Googling lead me to think that it was bad. However further investigation revealed that the run.exe I had was an essential part of Cygwin, an app I use to run native Linux commands under Windows (to ssh into several Linux boxes I administer). This run.exe is in the "bin" subfolder of the Cygwin folder and has no registry entries associated with it.

And there you have it.
