I have 3 videos of my daughter as a baby and someone transferred clips from video to DVD for me. I want to edit the 3 DVDs and put them in the right order. The DVDs are VOB files and I have used PRISM (a web converter to make them AVI files in order to mix and match the clips. They now play upside down! The original DVDs play the right way up. Any ideas?

Hi,
It does work but cuts the file size down considerably so that the clip is very short?!

There could be an issue with a CODEC that is causing your video to play at the wrong angle. Have you installed any 'CODEC packs' onto your computer? If so it maybe wise to uninstall and then just reinstall the CODEC'S you need. a good CODEC to get hold of is 'ffdshow'.

Just out of intereest what software are you going to use to edit your video clips?

BTW sorry for the delayed reply! smile.gif

The video clips you want to arrange, are they currently stored on a DVD? If so why not try to rip (copy the dvd's) to your computer again using Flaskmpeg.

I should explain further what I want to do
3 old fashioned video tapes were copied onto DVD for me in VOB format.
I want to join the 3 together in order and edit the bad bits out and make one DVD that I can give to the grandparents. Each DVD has several files on it and I am not sure which files I actually need to copy onto my PC to edit.
Please also see my post below which says what happens with the application suggested by firecracker. mellow.gif

Sorry to hear that the software I recommended crashed you PC, I never had a problems in the past. I'm supprised that Pinnicle doesen't have a filter/feature that allows you to rotate the video. Can't you import the video from your DVD's into Pinnicle?

In the meantime, have a look at Videohelp for more help!
