Oooooo, I get it now!
And thanks again for such an awesome program! -Runs off to crash computer some more- -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. Hmmmmmm it appears Sandboxie relies on altering the kernel in memory. Since 64 Bit versions of Vista block this, it only works on 32 bit versions. It's too bad because setup of Sandboxie is very simple and doesn't require construction packages for each application. Guess I'll be researching VistaX64 solutions.

I hate to be bumping old threads, but this is important!
Just for today only, Giveawayoftheday is giving away Returnil Premium v2.0!!!! There's major GUI improvements (evilness, how I hated the old UI), as well as quick context menus for transferring folders. I strongly suggest you get it!!! -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. O andrew thanks a lot for this tip man this stuff looks amazing but i have a question
remeber when you said QUOTE You can still crash Windows with Returnil on. The difference is that none of the damage will be there after you reboot. Viruses will still be able to infect, but they won't be there after reboot nor any of the damage they may have caused. So basically anything that can happen to Windows can happen, it just won't stick! But dont some viruses like trojans copy themselves into secret files like dll files or the registry files and come back to haunt you later. please explain how it works please im dieing to try this :woot: it only requires 25 mb too right |

Even the system files Unless you already had malware on your computer before using Returnil, any and all problems will disappear with the restart of the computer. -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. Unless you already had malware on your computer And Returnil will undo anything your antivirus does to delete viruses. So, bear that in mind when running it! -------------------- |

http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/ Has a free edition that should be more than enough protection for your computer

Do you guys not know how it works. If you do please let me know. Thanks
If its like deep freeze it catches every change made to the hard drive and writes it some were else. . When you make a change your not actually changing the file but rather writing the changes some where else on the drive in a cache file. (At least thats how deep freeze does it.) Here do this. Make a lot of changes. See if your free space gets smaller. You could make a lot of changes so your free space gets all used up. I don't know what will happen then. Last time I tried it I'm pretty sure the space decreased.
The only difference I can see with Deep Freeze is that it's freeze, and there is a waaay smaller number of people who've had trouble with Returnil. And how does booting from a floppy or flash drive bypass the security? -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. I should point out that discussion on methods for bypassing security systems are strictly against the forum rules.
