Free from Microsoft: the realistic BSOD screen saver. It takes info from your computer to create authentic BSOD error messages and then pretend to restart the computer... only to generate another BSOD.

Keep an eye on the error messages. Most are official looking, but I saw one that said "YOU_HAVE_NOT_VISITED _YOUR_MOTHER_ENOUGH"

Since it's on the old Technet page, I'd guess it's the MVP who has the sense of humor, not "Microsoft," ya know?

Sure wish I'd had this screen saver to slip onto one particular ex-boss's puter. Heheheh.

If you really want to mess with somebody take a screen capture of their desktop & set that as their wallpaper.
They will be scratching their head for a long time trying to figure out why nothing on the desktop works but everything on the programs menu does!

Ut Oh! I think I am it trouble now!
In the beginning there was the command line.

Hit "print screen" and then paste it into some program, such as GIMP or MS paint, save it, set it as background, and voila.... just don't forget to delete all the icons from the desktop.

Nah, there are legit reasons for taking desktop screen shots, ya know. It's just that you have a wonderfully twisted mind. :trumpet:

Hitting the Print Screen key only pastes the image into your clipboard. You still need to paste it from there into your graphics editor. Here's a BC tutorial on How to make a screen shot in Windows.

You're most welcome. And I wouldn't call it "dumb" on your part, just a momentary memory lapse, perhaps? Or, if you're a fairly new computer user, then it's perfectly reasonable you didn't know that.
