Help
Apparently, when I upgraded Ubuntu from 7.04 to 7.1, my FAT partition and my NTFS partition disappeared from the Computer menu. I found the NTFS partition in the media folder, but the FAT partition is still missing. Any help?

What were your partitions?
What did you tell the Ubuntu installer to do when it asked about the partitioon set up?
Were each of theses partitions on the same hd or on seperate ones?
How many devices are listed as hda, sda?
How many partions are on each disk if more than one?

It worked just fine when I installed 7.04, but after I updated to 7.1, everything started messing up. I made the partitions with the Windows XP CD, then I installed 7.04 using the live CD. Everything was fine.

Uhhh... they partitions are named with the names I assigned in Windows.

I only have the 4 on the main HDD.
I figured it out. If I put a DVD in the drive, the partitions appear. This is quite inconvenient, as I have to go to the computer menu and double-click on the DVD. Thanks for the reply, though.

You may need to make corrections in your /etc/fstab file. http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/fstab.html
