Hi all, I have the free Comodo firewall and have been mostly happy with it. Usually when it's normal when you run the cursor over the icon it says it is running and protecting or something to that effect. The last couple of days it says "Comodo firewall is being initialized....." Does that mean it's trying to update? I've restarted the computer a couple of times but it still says the same. I worry that it is not protecting correctly. Has anybody else seen this? Thanks

Hi lazlopitt,
Comodo firewall is active from when you turn the computer on. So you are protected, absolutely.
As for the initializing you can stop it. Right click the tray icon, altering or even touching the Alert Level bar. This causes the mouse-over message to be corrected. This is a temporary fix. It may have some thing to do with Avast but not necessarily. Anyway Comodo says it will be fixed in the next version.

Hi, yup I noticed that too, also an increasing amount of Comodo not remembering my rules on everything from my AV to my OE, I finally got fed up and switched to Sygate, I don't know if it's as effective, but it remembers the rules and loads fast, when Comodo comes out with a new version i'll probably switch back, till then, I don't miss it.
