I am attempting to install adsl broadband from a cd but a warning comes up from Trendmicro saying it has been blocked. In the 2007 version you were able to say allow the program anyway but the 2008 version only seems to allow you to apporve programs (in the firewall settings) if they are already installed. How can I get Trend to accept this program?
Thanks,Gail

disable trend micro software during installation of your ADSL driver from the cd
you wont get infected by virus as there is no internet connection.
After installing the ADSL driver, enable trend micro protection, the firewall prompt as new network was detected.

Thanks, that's the same advice I eventually got from Trend (thought I'd post here as well to see what response I got). Just hope the cd allows me to interrupt the process part way through to turn protection back on before completing the installation (the going on the internet part). I'm very nervous about this install...maybe should've gone professional but wanted to save on the install fee! Gail
