I have 2 questions here :D

1) I currently have directx10 since im using vista. From what i understand dx10 is installed when installing the vista operating system. Correct?........

2) Secondly, i would like to know was dx9 also installed while installing vista?... I'm not sure if thats a dumb question but I am not familiar with dx. Im only asking this since i know that not all games out right now have the ability to run on directx 10. So for the other games that still run on dx9, will I be able to run them? is it already on my machine. Or do i needa to install dx9 and by doing this, will it override directx10.

Thanks in advance

Josh

On Vista you have both DirectX 9 and 10 side by side, and they are both installed when you install Vista.

As as side note: there has been some minor bug fixes to DirectX 9 so if you haven't updated DirectX 9 from the version in Vista you might want to download and install the latest redistributable.
