Deflib.sys Rootkit Problem, Need help removing trojan

New Member Group: Members Posts: 8 Joined: 4-March 06 Member No.: 57,961	Hi I have a problem with Win32:Agent-KDC trojan in my DefLib.sys. I have googled this and apparently it is a rootkit problem. I have tried deleting the file through my Avast antivirus, in safe mode and regular windows XP. For now it is in quarantine. Is there anyway I can get rid of it permantly from the system?? Thank you

You shouldn't make any changes to your system, while your HJT log is posted, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system. At this point, the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. I'm closing this topic until you are cleared by the HJT Team.
