Okay, I just got my laptop back from being reformatted, just to clear that up.

When I go and put a CD in the disk drive, and click on my computer, the CD does not show up? It did earlier but not now.

Please help. thanks.

Have you tried going into the Device Manager, uninstall the player, reboot, and see if windows will recognize it?

Is there any more information via the Device manager. (Right click and select properties and click through the tabs) "Driver not installed" etc?
