N, a flash platformer, is pretty fun, but with the hard levels expect to be frustrated greatly. 100 episodes with 5 levels each, and a community of map makers.

There is a good browser game called Dominate game(www.dominategame.com). It is a risk clone and has customizable maps and a large user base at most hours of the day. A great boredom killer. Although you have to 'donate' to get the 'full' version, it gives you an option to download it. The only downside is a banner will pop up every so often.

I can't believe Spring is not included. It is a free and open source under-developement strategy game. It is based on a great game called Total Anihilation.
Recently, Total Anihilation 2 has been released.

Spring is a 3D version of the 1st T.A. and the limits of graphics and unit textures only depend on your graphics card. Metal and energy are requiered to build in the game.
