Hi all,

As you can see below, I have uploaded a sig to Photobucket but am unable to get it to work!!,


All I can see is the URL to the sig - Help Please

Here you go Kev'

I've posted the complete instructions. Just in case someone looks in and wishes to apply them to inserting thier own sig. as you have.


Go to Photo Bucket
Sign up, log-in,
click on the browse button. Find your image and then click submit.

You will then see your pic uploaded
Three links will show.
Copy the IMG link
Go to your Control Panel @ Bleeping Computer
On the left hand side go to> Personal Profile> Edit Signature
Paste in the text box.
Click on Update Signature

Another query - I notice that a number of members have animated sigs. How to do this?? I am totally new to graphics, are there any sites that can assist with tutorials etc?

ps Can you append text in the sig after you have loaded it, ie can you add text below the sig in tne sig modify box? If not, how to do?

Sorry I can't help with the animation. Someone here probably can. JEServices for instance. What you need though is some sort of graphics program.

But as far as appending text in the sig. It is the same principle as adding your sig. Just type in what you wish to show. and then click on > Update Signature.

I couldn't figure out why my ears were burning.

Anyway, the animated signatures are hosted the same way as a regular image file. The only difference is that it is a GIF file instead of a JPG file. The ones that I have done here was using a trial program, but it has since expired and I have not found a suitable replacement yet. Now when I do them, it places "DEMO" over it. When I find another one, I would be more then happy to walk you through it. In the meantime, feel free to Google "free GIF animators". Maybe you will find a few that I havent tried out yet.

You must not be copying the complete IMG tag.
And as a matter of fact. When I first starting using Photobucket I had some trouble too. Just keep on trying.
