I have a hotmail email account that Ive been using for almost two years now.
I have had some spam over time but I did know where it had come from.
Over night I received 3 emails. They came from support@thegreathomeimprovement.com , support@bookselement.com and support@housebetterment.com

I keep a close eye on what I am subscribed too and none of these look familiar to me. Theres 3 emails appeared in my inbox and they were all in one hour. I haven't clicked on any of the links with these emails but I am worried because their ion my inbox and not junk mail

how would have these companies got my email address?

Your Hotmail account has an option to delete these emails - and when deleting them you should have the option to mark them as Junk Mail.

No matter how carefully your E-mail provider attempts to keep spam out of your inbox, there will always be some that get through. The three spam E-mails you mention seem suspiciously similar, so they may come from the same source and strictly by itsrandom use of Hotmail addresses.
Delete them and mark them as spam.
Cheers,
John

When you subscribe to something, you open yourself up to receive junk-mail. Just like the rubbish you'll start to get in your snail-mail after you've subscribed to a magazine. Chuck it and don't worry about it.
