my benq t705 lcd randomly shut off, when i turn it back on i can just barely see the benq logo on the screen.

any ideas, is this fixable?

It's normally failed solder joints in the backlight inverter. Is it out of warranty? BenQ carry 3 years guarantee in Australia.

The power board design in that model series usually damages some of the inverter transistors whan that happens - it's not a difficult repair, but in Aus at least the cost of a new power board is low enough that it's simplest to just replace the board.
