Hi all,
A few days ago, my laptop began experience increased cpu usage. I'm not sure whether I have a virus or trojan, but it happened so suddenly that I don't think it is something like cleaning the fan or defragging (which I have done). It occurs when a program (firefox, opera, skype, or itunes) is running. To use one of those programs now uses around 85% of the cpu and slows everything down. In the past, I have been able to be on Skype and browse with no problem. Now, I can't even open skype without major lag (let alone complete a call). When no program is running, the cpu level is normal.
I have AVG (free edition) and update daily, as well as Spybot and SpywareBlaster. I have installed and run hijackthis 2.0.2 and followed as many of the suggestions from the how-to articles as I could. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
-Jeff

Hi,
After reviewing your log, it has been determined, that there are no infections present on your computer. Not every Computer problem is caused by malware.
Please create another Topic, in the Windows XP Home and Professional forum, with a thorough explanation of the problems you're experiencing,
such as:
Do NOT post a HijackThislog there.
Also, to avoid confusion, mention that you have already posted a HijackThis log, and it was found that you had no infections.
This will prevent others from suggesting, that you post a HJT log for examination.
Since there were no infections found, on your computer, I will now close this Topic.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
