Disk Drive Wont Read Discs disk drive (d)wont read cds or dvds most of the time

hi.im having some problems with my disk drive (D).it wont read cds or dvds most of the time but sometimes it does after a long delay.is this probably due to a problem with the hardware?

Try a disk cleaning "disk" from a electronics store or walmart.
It could be a bad drive. Sometimes a simple cleaning will do.
