I have a Dell dimension E521 running Windows XP. There are 3 people that use it, my sister, my dad and myself. We have been having problems with it for a while. Once in a while, when someone logged on, the screen resolution and color settings would reset to the lowest settings. The only way to fix this would be to restart the computer. Lately this has been happening every time someone logs onto the computer, and the only way to fix it is to restart the computer. Because of this, there is never more than one person logged onto the computer at a time. Also, every time someone logs onto the computer, the windows installer window pops up and tries to install PhotoGallery, or at least that's what it seems to be doing. My question is:what is causing all this? Is it a virus? How do I fix it? I don't really know much about software, I'm more of a hardware guy, so any help would be appreciated.
