Have Vista Yuk! Need Xp On College Laptop. Please.

Oswego Business student needs xp and has a new dell laptop with vista installed. Can a no-brainer computer person uninstall Vista and install XP?

If the PC is new and you uninstall Vista and put XP on you may void your warranty. Also yes it can be done but the drivers you recieved with Vista will not work with XP so all new drivers will be needed if they are availible.

yes, we have a cd.

Dell "India" said we could do nothing.

Laptop was purchased in JUly 2007.
