After encountering insurmountable problems I was forced to reset my Lenovo to its factory settings. This was almost, but not quite, a complete reformat. A couple of months ago I made a 7 DVD backup of my computer (via Windows Backup and Restore) which I thought I would be able to use to restore my pc to its ideal state (all my files, favourites, programs, etc.) Unfortunately I find that when I go into Windows Restore and try to do the restoration from my backup disks I am told that I haven't done a backup! perhaps this is due to the fact that I have restored it to the factory settings, before I had done the backup.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could use my backup disks to restore everything to its June state?
Also: a minor question, I cannot remember how to avoid having to enter my password when I log in
